Finally made it to the new Whitney the other day. What a great place! Aside from all the art, I think my favorite things were all the balconies with sweeping views of Manhattan, the Hudson and the Meatpacking district below. Here are some photos of these, as well as some shots inside. Lots of multimedia pieces and even an odd, hyperrealistic model of an old woman with her dog. So real looking it was hard to believe it wasn't someone just taking a break in the gallery.
Oh! I also met a character out on the balcony who called himself "The Mayor of Meatpacking". What a fun man! I loved his hat. Google him! :)
