Forgot to post that I have a bunch of shower curtain designs over on Wayfair. So if you should need a new curtain, I do hope you will consider one of mine!
Read Across America
Spent some time over at the Westbridge Academy last week to read to the kids as part of “Read Across America”. Westbridge Academy is a New Jersey State Approved Private Special Education School in Bloomfield, NJ for students with emotional, behavioral and learning challenges in grades K-12. Thanks to Tania Miller for organizing the event.
I drew on the chalkboard to show the children how I go about drawing a dog and when the class was over, a sweet boy named Jayden handed me his drawing. I made him sign it, telling him alll great artists sign their work. I just love this. Hanging it on my fridge. :)
The GIGANTIC shoe!
My art was recently selected for a really fun public sculpture project at Bloomingdales. Over the next few weeks I will be painting, constructing and papier mache-ing an enormous 6 foot shoe which will ultimately sit on the sales floor of the Short Hills Bloomingdales shoe department! I am attaching a photo of my design process-including the sketches I submitted for the project. Guess which one they chose?
Reception details to come. :)
Uppercase Ephemera
I am featured in the new Uppercase “Encyclopedia of Inspiration” ! BEYOND excited. I discuss collecting all the random bits of paper and vintage office supplies in my studio-many of which found their way into my third book “Mr. Biddles” . Janine Vangool’s design is spectacular! I’ve been featured in books before, but nothing like this. She custom designed a table of contents with a vintage label spin for each of the artists in the book. There are four different designs for the book, as well as fold out posters/book jackets. She has to be one of the most talented book designers I have ever witnessed. I am absolutely tickled pink!
This book is one volume in an incredible series “Encyclopedia of Inspiration” You can get copies at:

Good ol' Pet Rocks!
Who doesn't love making one of these? I am sharing the work of some very imaginative kindergarteners. We had a lot of fun making these last week. There should be a few more but I think they are still drying. Never give a child too much paint. lol
