Crazy road trip!

I headed up to Plymouth Mass for a wedding this weekend. Left Saturday, returned Sunday. 10 hours of driving, 500 miles but what a blast! Got in early afternoon, so I headed over to Wood's Seafood "on the haaaaaaaaabah" as the locals say. Was going to order steamers, but went for the scallops and glad i did.

Fried but deeeeeeeelish! Wash it down with some cold beee-ah!

It was gray skies upon arrival but I love those skies in a harbor setting. Took some pics and got to learn way too much about lobster traps when i chatted some men up on the dock...

I think my New England roots just keep calling me back. To me, this is so beautiful. I plan to do a book with a harbor setting--i have for years now. But just need to find a better story.

All in all, it was a great, albeit short, trip. Nothing prettier than New England in the fall. Took some shots from the car and did a lot oooing and ahhhhhing over all the bursts of color! And of course, a few urban scenes too.

I think this was just outside of Plymouth. Morning rain...

Was on some back roads when i saw these two buildings and pulled over! Just wish those trees had peaked. This would be the perfect New England scene!
