The Mill class

I started teaching a new class this fall via The Montclair Institute for Lifelong Learning called "Illustration Bootcamp". These ladies are such a great group and so much fun! Each week, we do a different project. This week was hand lettering into a shape. I gave them 4 different choices and the students used roller ball pens to ink various words and flourishes into frogs, wine bottles (ha! can't help myself), buddhas and hearts. I was amazed how they all turned out so wonderful. Each piece had its own unique personality just like them. As I always say, there is no "I can't" in my classes, because as you can see...they did just great!

one of the student's pieces. She wanted me to help her reverse the lettering out to white and color the main words red. Nice job Jackie.
