Quickie trip to the beach yesterday. I’ve been working like crazy and needed a break to recharge. The waves were gentle, so I took my new donut float out and bobbed about for an hour. Unfortunately I punctured the nozzle so we had to part ways at the end of the day. :(
No secret that I LOVE summer! I have been having the best time with friends-from outdoor concerts and trips to the beach to watercolors by the pool, reading, cheering on 2 different friend’s new books and just lots of time creating, writing and hanging with good people. We are a little more than halfway through—and I am so busy working on a new business idea (more to come on that!) but I am still planning on more fun ahead. :)
It wasn’t the worst of winters, but I still missed the ocean SO much. I snuck away this week and spent a day down at the shore. The sand was cold and the water was only 58 degrees, but i spent some time reading and writing. Ran on the boardwalk too. So peaceful.
I always walk away from summer kicking and screaming. The weather was off to a rocky start this season so I did my best to make up for it with as many trips to the pool and beach as possible. I enjoyed the local outdoor concerts under the stars, hanging with friends on the patio, cackling over David Sedaris' "Calypso", taking an inspiring online class and finally-riding a 6ft inflatable alligator in the ocean. That was an unexpected post Labor Day purchase down in Spring Lake. Yes, I am seven.
Summer rocks! I practically live outside. Ask the squirrels! I've been enjoying plein air painting in the gardens in my town, going to the pool, writing, reading lots of books, beaching it, outdoor concerts and laughing with my friends. ( they rock too! ) Hope all of you are enjoying your summer as well!!!
