It wasn’t exactly swimming weather, but it was still a great day to sit on the beach-feet in sand and sun overhead! Had a tasty seafood lunch afterwards and I always love to look at the vintage diving suit in the restaurant lobby. I can’t imagine being submerged in such heavy gear! I always like looking at the boats too. This time they were still dry docked awaiting summer fun.

Got a little getaway in with one of my closest friends.I think we could have fun doing just about anything. We ate some great seafood, antiqued at one of my fave spots and played in the ocean. It always feels good to laugh and have fun like that. And the change of scenery does wonders!

It’s not over till it’s over! Had to make one more trip down to the shore before the official start to fall. I twas a gorgeous Sunday and I needed that sun in my face. I didn’t swim, but it was nice just to sit on the beach. PS that giant lump in the cocktail sauce below is horseradish! Oh boy! :)
Playing with mood...
I experiment each morning and usually post those experiments to my Instagram account (illustrationlombardi). I should probably point that out in my "about" section so people don't wonder why so many posts are so random. lol I do post finished, more polished work as well, but much of it is the result of play. The past few days I have been playing around with old sketches and remixing them with bits of texture and color. I like this one I did of a scene in Maine.
