If you know me at all, you know I love the water. Give me a pool, an ocean—even a soaking tub ANY day of the week!!!! I have had some fun days down the shore with different friends this summer, as well as some great times hanging out at the local pool. I still have more plans in store to live it up these last few weeks, but here are some snaps of late summer so far.
bits of summer...
Between work and the crazy weather, there hasn’t been all that much fun in the sun so far, but I am hoping that will change. I got a new boogie board! Here’s some summery snippets from the past few weeks. :)
sumner fun-the week in pictures
Got a little getaway in with one of my closest friends.I think we could have fun doing just about anything. We ate some great seafood, antiqued at one of my fave spots and played in the ocean. It always feels good to laugh and have fun like that. And the change of scenery does wonders!
one last hurrah...
It’s not over till it’s over! Had to make one more trip down to the shore before the official start to fall. I twas a gorgeous Sunday and I needed that sun in my face. I didn’t swim, but it was nice just to sit on the beach. PS that giant lump in the cocktail sauce below is horseradish! Oh boy! :)
quick getaway to the beach!
Summer has come and gone so fast! I was missing the ocean so much, so this week I met an old friend down in Spring Lake to enjoy one of the last days of summer. I brought a pink noodle, a weekender and a bag of books which I never actually read. :) But the water was perfect and the first day had perfect weather too! We drove down to Point Pleasant for dinner and (of course!) my beloved Skee Ball. Good times! Because my friend was new to it, I gave her my winning tickets. Combined with her tickets, she was able to choose a deluxe jump rope. I usually just get an eraser or parachute man. (also cool) And speaking of parachute man—they seem to have discontinued that goodie for good. I enjoyed tossing him off second story buildings so that a kid on the boardwalk below could wonder where it came from! Small pleasures…
