It was only 26 degrees, but I couldn't wait to get outside. There is something magical about winter. The past few winters have been so mild and even this year has very little snow accumulation. I just love to walk around town and look at the woods, the homes, the bits of nature, etc. It is great for creativity too!
Cold Sunday in the city...
It was windy, gray and COLD. But we still had a fun day. We went in to light a candle for my friend’s mom at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. 5th Ave was not the busy street it once was. So many buildings torn down—just lots of rubble until a new high rise goes in. Very strange to see so frequently, but I do love seeing all the buildings exposed that I’d never seen before. I had a smoldering rosemary Bloody Mary at my favorite NYC bar and walked around some more. I passed the old 21 Club with its iconic sign still on—and felt sad that I would never be able to go there again. Everything changes.
