wandering around a vintage store always makes me smile. I love all the toys, packaging and ceramics.
a stroll through Chelsea...
Last week I clocked 15k steps walking around Chelsea in Manhattan. So many of my fave places have closed down. Bummer. I found a great typewriter store though. Hit some fun holiday markets in Chelsea Market and had delicious sushi tacos for lunch. Then a great walk with my friend down the Highline where it suddenly began to snow. Felt like a little Christmas miracle. (Stopped after three minutes.) Anyway, I always feel so inspired by the city. Need to go in more like I used to!
Woodstock...
Took a drive up to Woodstock, NY. Such a cute town. I hadn’t been in at least 15 years so it seems to have grown a lot. Tons of little shops and places to eat. Loved the old architecture. Found a cute bookstore called the Golden Notebook. I also loved Tinker Toys, which felt like an old school toy store crammed with goodies! Found a funky pair of readers (impulse buy) and had a nice fish n’ chips lunch at Pub.
vintage fix
I like to take creative field trips whenever I can. These were some of my fave finds from an antique mall. One if them lives in my studio now. :)
