This week has had so many sudden downpours, thunderstorms and shifting skies. I am always looking at the clouds, Here are some recent snaps…
Now THAT's a cloud!
I’ve seen some pretty scary storms roll in when i lived down in Texas, but the other night i was surprised to see such an ominous cloud out my back window. Wow. The rain soon followed and it was all over in 20 minutes.
a foggy walk
Took the most amazing walk yesterday. It wasn’t so foggy when I started out but about a mile in, I could barely see more than 500 feet or so. I’m always reflecting when I am walking…this has been the most bizarre year on record. I think about just how radically our lives have changed and also how we have adapted. I always feel peaceful when I am outside and in nature. It’s hard not to be. I write a lot in my head and seem to be able to problem solve as I go––making notes on my phone then running back home to scribble an idea. I am grateful for my walks. I am grateful for so much.
Summer loving'–part 2
I always walk away from summer kicking and screaming. The weather was off to a rocky start this season so I did my best to make up for it with as many trips to the pool and beach as possible. I enjoyed the local outdoor concerts under the stars, hanging with friends on the patio, cackling over David Sedaris' "Calypso", taking an inspiring online class and finally-riding a 6ft inflatable alligator in the ocean. That was an unexpected post Labor Day purchase down in Spring Lake. Yes, I am seven.
Summer lovin'-part one
Summer rocks! I practically live outside. Ask the squirrels! I've been enjoying plein air painting in the gardens in my town, going to the pool, writing, reading lots of books, beaching it, outdoor concerts and laughing with my friends. ( they rock too! ) Hope all of you are enjoying your summer as well!!!
