The United Nations!

I am delighted to announce that my latest book “My Wish for the World” is now available at the United Nations in NYC. I used some of my author copies to send to places I thought might be a good fit for the theme. I was driving to the grocery store one day when the call came in. Surreal to see the UN on my caller ID. Authors need to do a lot more these days to get the word out on their books. I am currently reading some books on public relations so I can strategize further. It’s empowering!

Books of Wonder

I met some nice authors and illustrators on a picture book panel at Books of Wonder back in April. We each read our books and answered questions about writing and illustration process. I always love meeting other creators and seeing my friend Melissa, who was also on the panel. Our old SVA instructor Monica Wellington showed up, which was such a sweet surprise! :)

Holding up our favorite book spreads.

book launch

I haven’t posted in a while. Things got a bit busy, I suppose. My book launched and I have taken on some completely different work outside of publishing. It’s been great to learn something new and it’s also been incredibly rewarding. Perhaps I will talk more about this in a future post but for now, I will leave off with some pics from my event at Watchung books in Montclair. (And one of those delightful surprises on Instagram when someone says something so nice about your little baby. :)
